Your guides to this great adventure…

Jared Rubalcaba

A major component of ancient Egypt belief is the reconciling of polarities and the union of male and female. Jared has a deep love and appreciation for both the divine feminine and the divine masculine and gives homage to both.

The language of the Egyptians is symbol. Jared has spent years immersed in this language to be able to help convey its complexity and nuance to you.

The more you know, the more powerful symbols become. Each one is layered with meanings for those who have eyes to see. Jared has a unique gift for sharing these insights and opening up this language to others.

We hope these sites will do more than speak to you—after some time with us they will positively sing.

Our desire is to share with you our love for Egypt, and we hope your adventure will spark a greater light inside of you as it has us.

October 15 & 16

Day 1- fly out from your home city to Cairo (flights to Egypt and return home are not included in price)

Day 2 - land in Cairo and meet your guides. Plan on landing in Cairo the afternoon or evening of October 16 or early morning the 17. Check into your hotel room and rest for your grand Egyptian adventure!

October 17

Day 3 - Meet your fellow travelers for breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

Today we will be exploring Coptic Cairo. See where the Holy Family lived while in Egypt.

Return to the hotel and prepare for the early morning start and flight to Abu Simbal.

October 18

Day 4 - Fly south to Aswan, and see Abu Simbal. Get your first glimpse at hieroglyphs and learn what these picture and statues are trying to convey through symbol by one of our expert guides.

October 19

Day 5 - Leave Aswan and head toward Luxor. On the way we will visit the beautiful Temple of Philae which is surrounded by water and is dedicated to the goddess Isis. Next we will arrive at Edfu temple—the most complete temple complex dedicated to Horus of Behdet. See his symbol as you walk through this temple, and discover the multiple layers of meaning behind this falcon headed god.

October 20

Day 6 - We start this morning with a Hot Air Ballon over Luxor.  Get incredible views of the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and much more!

Next we will explore the famous Valley of the Kings visiting 3 tombs with remnants of the book of the dead inscribed on the walls.

On to the valley of the Nobles and explore the beautiful tomb of Sennifer. We will conclude the day at Medinet Habu Temple. Which is dedicated to the god Amun and built for Ramses III.

October 21

Day 7 - Today we visit the Valley of the Artisans. This site which is not visited very frequently has a small temple dedicated to goddess Hathor and beautiful and vibrant colors of Nut and Hathor, and scenes from the book of the dead are depicted in these tombs.

Next, visit the temple of Hatshepsut a powerful female pharaoh who reigned for over 20 years. She protected Egypt from foreign invasion and oversaw the construction of a number of magnificent buildings and works of art.

We will end this day at Luxor temple for an incredible evening tour.

October 22

Day 8 - Today we will visit Abydos and Dendera. These two temples are off the beaten path, but worth the journey. The beautiful and well preserved turquoise colors of Dendera perfectly suit this temple dedicated to Hathor, the Celestial Mother. See the massive pills depicting Hathor’s face at the top, and climb up to the roof to the open air where priests and priestesses would observe the stars. The temple at Abydos, built by Seti I, was considered the seat of the god Osiris and was a gateway to the underworld. Step outside and get a gimps of the mysterious Osireion complex. This complex was hidden by the desert sand and is set much lower than the temple at Abydos. Still in debate is if Seti I built this complex or if it maybe much older in origin.

October 23

Day 9 - Today we will visit the second largest temple complex in the world at Karnak. This grand site covers over 247 acres. With special access thanks to our Egyptian Guide Ali, we often enjoy special access to many of the restricted or lessor visited portions of the temples here.

Tonight we fly back to Cairo for the next step in our jouney.

October 24

Day 10 - At Saqqara we will see the oldest pyramid in Egypt - the step pyramid of Djoser and the famous Sed Festival court. Next our guides will take you to the pyramid of Unas, home to the oldest religious text in the world.

We will visit the enigmatic Serapium — this astonishing site contains numerous 100 ton sarcophagi that are precision cut and placed in a warren of underground alcoves.

We will then end the day as true explorers, exploring the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid. Be prepared to get your hands dirty!

October 25

Day 11 - The New Grand Egyptian Museum! Filled with over 100,000 artifacts, making it the largest archaeological museum complex in the world. It will feature King Tut’s entire treasury.

Today we will enjoy a camel ride on the Giza plateau, visit the pyramid of Menkaure and also visit the Sphinx.

October 26

Day 12 - Early morning private access to all 3 chambers in the Great Pyramid of Giza. You start your decent into the darkness of the unfinished chamber. Then work your way up from darkness to light reaching the Queen’s chamber, and finally ascent into the Kings chamber. Return to the hotel to clean up and then to the Cairo Museum.

Farewell dinner.

What People Are Saying

“The trip I just took to Egypt, was a once in a life time opportunity for me. I have some big decisions to make in my life right now and being there with the wonderful people that I was with and seeing that there is so much more to this life than my little bubble. I learned so much history from our very knowledgeable guides, things I would have never even thought about.

One of my favorite and most memoriable moments would be when we were all sitting in the King's Chamber early one morning and everyone was very quiet and contemplating their own thoughts. I had a great clarity come to me that I will always remember.

We were able to taste the culture of Egypt with the many wonderful meals that were available to us. I would definitly go again and would suggest this to anyone interested in Egypt or even just travel.”

— Tammy Crook

“It’s nearly impossible to articulate my journey in Egypt. How do you pick your favorite moments when there are thousands? I came home an entirely different person. I carry it with me every day.”

— Rochelle Barlow

“My experience in Egypt was like no other! Compared to my other traveling endeavors I have never experienced anything as education, spiritual or as fun as my Egyptian journey. I felt safe and excited all day every day. I was ready to risk it all cancel my return flight. I have and will continue to encourage everyone I care about to go on this trip ! I’m so thankful for the people I met and the experiences I had. Great food, seamless schedule and excellent accommodations as well. 10/10 would recommend.”

— Remington Roberts

“A trip to Egypt isn’t just a meal…it’s an entire feast! So prepare yourself! I came on this tour because I wanted to learn more about religion, the world, and myself. The best way to do that, in my opinion, is to look to the past. Touring Egypt is like entering into a history book. The tombs and the pyramids aren’t just cool sites to see. They are sacred places with so much to discover and learn from and to feel. No matter how you worship or what you believe in, Egypt will show you (like it showed me) that these stories from thousands of years ago MATTER in your everyday life. Egypt has changed the way that I see God, nature, the atonement of Jesus Christ, temples, prayer, the sacrament, the universe, and the people around me. And now that I’ve gone, I can’t imagine not having those experiences that are now core to my beliefs and character.

Egypt is a journey—one that I encourage anyone and everyone to take. The more we know about the world and can connect with other people and cultures the more we appreciate life for what it is. Whether you’re seeking fortune, glory, or the lost ark Egypt is the place for you!”
